Giti Tire secures VW nominations

The VW Group has confirmed six OE nominations with Giti Tire for the recently launched GitiSynergy H3. The VW Taigo, VW T-Cross, VW T-Roc, Seat Arona, Skoda Kamiq and Skoda Octavia have all been specified in size 205/55R17.

The tyre, which was officially unveiled at The Tire Cologne 2026, is currently an OE-only pattern and has been designed to meet a number of key performance and sustainability targets.

The GitiSynergy H3 delivers very low rolling resistance and noise, an aerodynamic sidewall design and delivers an EU Wet Grip label rating of A.

The tyre is produced with 7.3 per cent recycled and 32.3 per cent renewable materials, with 16 per cent of the natural rubber FSC certified, whilst the manufacturing process uses only 100 per cent green energy.

Nicolas Kluson, Key Account Manager Europe OE for Giti Tire, says: “The GitiSynergy H3 represents a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to delivering tyres that combine outstanding performance with measurable sustainability benefits.

“Securing six of the best original equipment nominations from Volkswagen Group delivers a strong message on the tyre’s capabilities, particularly in areas such as rolling resistance, wet grip, noise reduction and environmental responsibility.

“By incorporating recycled and renewable materials, FSC-certified natural rubber and manufacturing powered by 100% green energy, we are helping our OE partners meet increasingly ambitious efficiency and sustainability targets while delivering top level safety and driving performance.”

The GitiSynergy H3 was designed and engineered at Giti Tire’s European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, Germany, with testing at the company’s MIRA facility in the UK and key locations in Germany and Spain. The project utilised AdvanZtech, Giti Tire’s globally integrated, company-wide R&D system.
