Automechanika Shanghai 2026 will take place from 2 to 5 December at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Organisers expect 7,600 exhibitors across 390,000 sqm, showcasing automotive parts, workshop equipment, tyres and wheels alongside developments in electrification, autonomous driving, semiconductors and air-ground mobility.

This year’s ‘Automotive+’ theme reflects the expansion of automotive expertise into new technological fields. Capabilities developed in vehicle manufacturing, components and electronics are increasingly being applied to drones, humanoid robotics and emerging transport services.

The programme will combine product presentations, conferences and business matchmaking. Discussions will explore how new technologies can reach commercial production, including precision manufacturing, quality control and production scalability.

From Driver Assistance to Robotics

QCraft illustrates how different areas of mobility are converging. The company develops driver assistance and autonomous driving systems using machine learning and physical AI. According to the organisers, its systems have already been installed in more than one million cars across 40 models. QCraft works with more than ten Chinese carmakers and also supplies technology for autonomous delivery vans, buses and taxis.

Tieliu is applying its experience in transmission systems and high-precision component manufacturing to solid-state batteries and humanoid robotics. At the exhibition, it will present robotic joint modules developed by its own research and development team.

Smooth Technology is following a similar path, offering planetary gearbox modules and motion-control components for drones, humanoid robots and other intelligent devices. BOMETEC will showcase automotive sensors whose technology is also being adapted for low-altitude aircraft and robotics. Easyland is developing turbocharging technologies for applications including drones and air compressors for hydrogen fuel cells.

Vertaxi will present its M1, a two-tonne electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, or eVTOL, designed for autonomous short- and medium-distance travel.

Three Specialised Technology Zones

Three dedicated zones will highlight new applications for automotive technology and the growing importance of cooperation on quality and international standards.

Air Space Ground Intelligent Nexus – Hall 5.1, Stand K58

This zone will explore the integration of aerial and ground technologies. Displays will include intelligent vehicles, low-altitude equipment, core components, and testing and certification services.

C*Core, GALILEO, JINGWEI HIRAIN, NEOLIX and Starway will present technologies including automotive-grade chips, controllers, software, intelligent chassis and autonomous systems. Apex Flyt will showcase drones and heavy-duty eVTOLs for logistics, delivery, emergency response, agriculture and other applications.

Automotive Semiconductor Ecosystem Zone – Hall 5.1, Stand F09

The semiconductor zone will cover the production chain from chip design and wafer fabrication to packaging, testing and certification. RedPower will present IGBT modules and silicon carbide chips, while TONGFEI Shares will showcase heat exchangers.

The Automotive Semiconductor Ecosystem Development Forum 2026 will complement the exhibition with discussions on the sector’s development.

Global Quality Alliance Hub – Hall 5.1, Stand F76

This area will bring together certification organisations, standards bodies and training providers. Participants will include BSI, BV, CQC, IAOB, Intertek and ZAZH.

Topics will include international compliance, quality control, standards and carbon management. Related discussions will continue at the AIAG Asia Quality Summit 2026, while the Automotive Supply-Demand Matching Series will help suppliers connect with vehicle manufacturers.

Electrification, Software and Electronics

In the New Energy & Connectivity sector, CHANGHUI will present smart cockpit technologies and steer-by-wire chassis systems. BWI Group will showcase MagneRide, a suspension system using magnetic fluid to improve ride comfort and vehicle handling.

KOTEI will introduce Super Software DreamWorks, an AI-powered platform supporting the development of software-defined vehicles. It is designed to handle tasks across development stages, from analysing driver and passenger requirements to infrastructure development, testing and deployment. Other newcomers in this sector include AVATR, AITO, Ganfeng Power and NIO.

The Electrics & Electronics sector will feature companies including AUMOVIO, Sensata and Valeo. CHCD will display compact, high-output electric motors using hairpin technology, while EFI Automotive will present smart sensors for energy management systems. Hella will showcase glare-free adaptive high-beam lighting.

Accessories and Electric Vehicle Applications

The Accessories and Customising sectors will feature products addressing comfort, handling and thermal management.

REFLEK will present windscreen films designed to reduce heat while preserving 5G signal strength. Shuangxing will showcase thermochromic and passive photochromic films for applications including battery temperature warnings, interior trim and adjustable window shading.

CMST will display lightweight carbon-ceramic brake discs and hydraulic damping components. LOPAL will present lubricants for oil-cooled electric drive systems, while maXpeedingRODS will showcase damping systems and coilover shock absorbers for road and track use.

Other exhibitors will include ABT, AUTOBACS, Goodyear, OSRAM, TUNAP and STEK.

Tyres and Wheels in Hall 7.2

For tyre industry visitors, the Tyres & Wheels sector in Hall 7.2 will be a key destination. Diagnostics & Repair and Body & Paint will occupy Halls 5.2 and 6.2. Parts & Components will be located in Halls 1.1, 2.1, 3, 6.1, 7.1 and 8.1; Electrics & Electronics in Hall 4.1; and New Energy & Connectivity in Halls 5.1 and 6.1. Accessories and Customising will occupy Halls 1.2, 2.2, 7.2, 8.2 and Hong Arena.

Automechanika Shanghai 2026 is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) and China National Machinery Industry International (Sinomachint).
