Brembo brakes are fitted to the APXGP racing car
Italian based Brembo already supply all ten Formula One racing teams with their ‘World Class’ braking systems and now the company has ‘stepped up’ into the movie world by being chosen by APXGP, the fictional racing team featured in the Apple Original Film F1® The Movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris.
The company has been chosen to design and supply their state-of-the-art braking system for the car in the movie and also becomes an official partner for F1® The Movie. Which portrays Pitt, Idris and a team of stunt drivers experiencing over 4G of deceleration which is over three times what ordinary drivers feel on the road.
Apart from engineering the APXGP car’s braking system and specifically tailoring it to the car’s unique demands including analysing key factors such as weight distribution, tyre grip and aerodynamic balance.,
Brembo is also supporting the film through a co-promotional campaign centred around its 50th anniversary in motorsport. Having entered Formula One racing in 1975 with Ferrari and beginning a legacy including numerous victories and championships. Brembo has also supplied precision braking systems and components to virtually every series of motorcycle and car racing and so far, has helped teams win over 700 motorsport championship titles and over 500 F1® Grand Prix.
