For almost fifty years, JK Tyre & Industries has been at the forefront of India’s progressive growth within the global tyre industry. Having evolved from being a domestic manufacturer to a globally recognised leading brand through engineering excellence, technological foresight and an ongoing commitment to sustainability.

The company currently operates 11 advanced manufacturing facilities, nine in India and the remaining two in Mexico with a combined production capacity of 35 million tyres a year. Which supply various market segments including two-wheelers, passenger cars, commercial vehicles and off-the-road (OTR) equipment vehicles.

Exporting to over 100 countries and supported by a network of over 230 distributors, JK Tyre maintains a high-profile presence across Latin America, Africa, South-East Asia, The Middle East and North America.

Looking back over the company’s achievements over the past five decades, it was the first Indian company to introduce radial tyre technology which helped to reshape the country’s tyre market and currently continues to be involved in pioneer advancements with solutions including India’s first ‘Smart Tyre’ incorporating Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) to deliver real-time data via mobile applications.

JK Tyre’s legacy of innovation began with a historic milestone as the first Indian company to introduce radial tyre technology, fundamentally reshaping the country’s tyre landscape. Today, it continues to pioneer advancements with solutions such as India’s first ‘Smart Tyre’, embedded with tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) that deliver real-time data via mobile applications. The company’s cutting-edge Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence (RPSCOE) in Mysuru is a global benchmark in R&D, offering advanced simulation, prototyping, and testing capabilities.

In 2023, JK Tyre established its own European Technology Centre in Milan, Italy, further strengthening its global R&D ecosystem. This strategic investment facilitates deeper collaboration between its R&D teams in India and Mexico, whilst providing close proximity to major proving grounds and leading automobile OEMs. The Milan centre supports product development for both OEM and replacement markets globally.

Sustainability is also an important factor in the company’s growth strategy as again it was the first Indian company to develop eco-friendly ‘Green Tyres’ and continues to integrate renewable energy and circular economy practices 

A further milestone in its sustainability journey came with its induction into the RE100 global initiative, making JK Tyre the first Indian tyre company to commit to using 100% renewable electricity by 2050. Its efforts have been recognized with a ‘Best in Class’ ESG rating from CareEdge for two consecutive years and a place in Business World’s Top 30 Most Sustainable Companies in India.

JK Tyre also maintains a strong focus on safety and operational excellence and received the Sword of Honour from the British Safety Council across multiple plants, one of the highest global recognitions for occupational health and safety.
