CITEXPO 2026 Opens in Shanghai

The 21st China International Tire Expo – CITEXPO 2026 – has opened in Shanghai. The event runs from 2 to 4 September and is an important meeting point for representatives of the international tyre industry. We invite you to take a look at our first photo report directly from the exhibition halls.

CITEXPO takes place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. Held since 2003, the event focuses primarily on the tyre and wheel sectors, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, importers and distributors operating in international markets.

Tyres Take Centre Stage

A first walk through the exhibition halls makes it immediately clear what dominates CITEXPO: tyres and a very broad range of products from Chinese manufacturers.

Exhibitors are presenting tyres for a wide variety of applications – from passenger cars and SUVs to trucks, agricultural machinery, industrial vehicles and OTR applications. The exhibition provides an opportunity to see a broad cross-section of the Chinese tyre industry's product range in one place, much of it aimed at international markets.

A broad range of tyre manufacturers dominates the exhibition

Chinese tyre manufacturers and their products clearly dominate the exhibition halls, demonstrating the scale and diversity of the country's tyre industry.

Strong Presence of Wheels

Wheels are another highly visible product category at CITEXPO, occupying a significant part of the exhibition space. Visitors can see a wide variety of designs and solutions for different market segments.

The exhibition also includes products supporting the wider tyre industry. Machinery, equipment, materials and accessories related to tyre production and servicing can also be found at the show, although they represent a considerably smaller part of the exhibition. CITEXPO is first and foremost about tyres and wheels.

CITEXPO is primarily a business-focused event. It provides a platform for direct meetings between manufacturers, importers, distributors and companies looking for new products and business partners.

From a European market perspective, one of the most interesting aspects of the event is the opportunity to see such a broad cross-section of the Chinese tyre industry in one place and to meet companies developing their presence in international markets.
