The Falken-fitted Porsche 911
At this year’s North West 200, Northern Ireland’s famous motorcycle race, car builder and content creator Abby Higgins revealed her fully customised Porsche 911 project in Falken Motorsport livery. The car, commissioned by Kerr’s Tyres & Auto and built by Higgins, was unveiled before competing on the event’s famous closed-road circuit in front of a crowd of over 200,000 people, where it was put through its paces by British Touring Car Championship driver Dan Cammish.
Car builder Higgins has documented the Porsche 911 Turbo S (991) project on her social channels, amassing over 400,000 views on YouTube alone. Through the partnership with Kerr’s Tyres & Auto, Higgins has modified the standard Porsche to now feature a custom widebody kit, rear wing, diffuser, side skirts, roll cage, racing interior, GT3-style front bumper, Sparco racing seats and teal-and-blue Falken Motorsport-inspired livery.
Selected for exceptional, motorsport-derived performance characteristics, the Porsche project was fitted with Falken’s AZENIS RS820 UUHP tyres. Just like Falken’s race tyres, the AZENIS RS820 features Aramid, a lightweight, high-tech, ultra-strong material that reinforces the tyre structure for enhanced cornering and high-speed stability.
The tyre’s design ensures maximum contact with the road for improved lateral stability, important for dynamic driving. Complementing these features, a complex tread compound provides versatile grip and braking properties in rain and fluctuating temperatures – essential for tackling the 14.4km North West 200 course.
Dan, who is competing for the British Touring Car Championship title in 2026 and is a three-time Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain champion, drove the car during its demonstration run. With extensive experience in high-performance Porsche machinery, he was able to put the completed project through its paces on the formidable “Triangle”.
Dan says, “The car really impressed me as it felt sharp and properly engaging from the moment I got behind the wheel, with the Falken tyres offering incredible grip and composure on the bumpy, undulating course. I only had a short run so came away wanting to do more laps, which is always a good sign! It was great to have the opportunity to run this head-turning project and bring something different to the crowds at the North West 200.”
