The ATHOS brand is gaining momentum

Since launching its proprietary ATHOS truck tyre brand in 2008, Hämmerling has established itself as a reliable and successful player in the European commercial vehicle tyre market. Backed by decades of experience in the original equipment (OE) sector and long-standing partnerships across Europe, the family-owned company continues to invest in sustainable growth and future-oriented innovations.

Hämmerling is currently working on a wide range of progressive and strategic projects designed to further strengthen its position in the international market. Among these key priorities is the expansion of its original equipment business with leading truck and bus manufacturers, underlining the company’s expertise as a trusted development and supply partner.

To support this growth, Hämmerling is further expanding its international sales organisation and is currently recruiting experienced sales professionals for Italy and Romania, as well as neighbouring markets, to accelerate the international expansion of the company’s proprietary brands and further increase their market presence.

In addition to strengthening its sales network, Hämmerling continues to invest in the development of its own brands, ATHOS (TBR) and TALAS (rims), with a focus on enhancing brand awareness, expanding the product portfolio and meeting the evolving requirements of the commercial vehicle industry.

From 2027 onwards, the first A-label tyres (rolling resistance) are expected to become available, reflecting Hämmerling’s commitment to premium performance, efficiency and sustainability. The introduction of Greensteel technology in the wheel segment represents another important step towards environmentally responsible solutions, helping customers reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining the highest quality standards.

The company is also responding to the evolving demands of the market, particularly regarding cost efficiency, through its cooperation with CO2OPT and the development of innovative solutions for sustainable fleet management and performance-based price-per-kilometre (PPK) contracts. These concepts enable fleet operators to optimise operating costs, improve sustainability and benefit from transparent, efficiency-driven tyre management solutions.

With a clear international strategy, continuous product innovation and a strong commitment to sustainability, Hämmerling is well positioned to capture new market opportunities and continue its successful growth journey from its headquarters in Paderborn, Germany.
