Hankook’s new winter range
Hankook has released the next generation of its multi-award-winning winter tyre range, incorporating superior safety during the winter season.
The new Winter icept evo 4 pattern for passenger cars and the Winter icept evo 4 SUV include key features such as a significant improvement in rolling resistance and a further reduction in rolling noise, two characteristics that make a noticeable contribution to driving quality and sustainability in everyday use. In addition, mileage has been increased by 15 per cent compared to the tyre’s predecessor.
Hankook achieved the lower rolling resistance of the new Winter i*cept evo 4 by lowering the curing temperature and optimising the silica dispersion, resulting in two clear benefits: reduced fuel consumption and improved driving stability. The rolling noise level has also been noticeably reduced, further improving driving comfort through a thorough reworking of the tread with diagonally cut tread blocks and redesigned central grooves.
The advanced tread geometry of the Winter i*cept evo 4 delivers superior safety on winter roads, with the optimised tread structure improving braking performance on snow and contributing to more stable traction in adverse conditions.

For winter tyres, the tread plays a particularly important role as the tyre compound is softer, which allows for a larger contact surface between the tread strip and the road, effectively reducing wear. Hankook engineers specifically leveraged this effect to increase mileage compared to the predecessor model.
The Hankook Winter icept evo 4 will be available in 93 sizes for passenger cars, while the Winter icept evo 4 SUV will be available in 75 sizes. With this range of sizes, Hankook reliably covers a broad spectrum of current vehicle models, from compact passenger cars to large SUVs and crossover vehicles.
