The excavator tyre
As the official distributor of Aeolus Industrial Tyres for the past 20 years for nine European countries including Benelux, Germany and France. Netherlands based Heuver Banden has recently supplied a new complete range of excavator tyres that are now incorporated within the Aeolus product portfolio.
Developed in technical partnership with Heuver Banden, three new innovative patterns have recently been introduced – the AEX-5, AX-1 and AX-2 which will become available in a number of popular sizes options.
The AEX-5 in size 290/90-20, becomes available from mid-May onwards as a diagonal tyre for dual mounting on multi-piece 8.00V-20 rims without spacers but with inner tubes and rim flaps. An optimal combination to provide easy maintenance and services levels. Plus, a new reinforced casing guarantees maximum stability and a high load capacity.
At the same time a minimal negative tread pattern reduces the risk of punctures whilst the robust pattern ensures high traction and even wear performance. The AEX-5 also presents excellent self-cleaning properties to reduce the accumulation of mud and dirt and the superior strength of the sidewall ensures extra protection against impacts and cuts.
The AX-1 in size 315/70R22.5, a dual mounting tyre mounted on 9.00x22.5 rims without spacers has been designed for standard construction applications with a radial casing to give good heat dissipation offering an extra fender on the sidewall for added protection against punctures and guarantees a tight fit between the rims to prevent dirt accumulation.
The tyre also has outstanding road holding performance and reduced rolling resistance for lower fuel consumption. Whilst the flat tread design offers superior driving comfort.
Finally, the AX-2 tyre in size 315/70R22.5 is now currently available with a reinforced casing and a high load capacity reducing the risk of tyre damage. The AX-2 can also be fitted to 9.00x22.5 excavator rims without spacers which are tubeless and incorporate an additional fender on the sidewall for puncture protection.
Also, the aggressive tread pattern ensures improved traction on loose and uneven surfaces such as construction sites. The self-cleaning pattern combats clogging in muddy conditions plus the tread emits low vibrations to further improve driving comfort making the AX-2 highly suitable for heavy construction applications.
