It is with profound sadness that MARTINS announces the passing of its founder and President, Martin Depelteau, who died on April 19, at the age of 54.
Martin founded MARTINS in 2002, building the company from the ground up and transforming it into a globally recognized manufacturer of tire equipment and supplies, serving customers worldwide. Through vision, determination, and perseverance, he established the MARTINS brand internationally and successfully grew the business through the acquisition of five complementary companies and brands.
Highly respected throughout the industry, Martin was deeply appreciated by clients, suppliers, competitors, partners, and colleagues alike. As a leader, he strongly believed in helping people evolve, encouraging growth, confidence, and development in those around him. His leadership style was defined by integrity, openness, and a genuine interest in people.
Over the past years, Martin had gradually stepped back from the company’s day-to-day operations, entrusting leadership to a strong and experienced management team. This thoughtful transition ensures continuity and stability, and MARTINS would like to reassure its customers, suppliers, and partners that the company’s operations, leadership, and commitments remain unchanged.
