Three winter tyre models were presented during the event
The Sailun Polar Drive 2026 event recently took place earlier in March and focused on delivering an immersive customer experience with Sailun’s Ice Blazer Alpine Evo2, Arctic 2 and Ice Blazer Spike winter tyre range.
In extreme weather conditions across a range of different driving challenges, the tyres demonstrated their strengths for a wide audience of tyre trade professionals and media from the Nordic countries.
In Muonio, Finland, north of the Arctic Circle, these harsh conditions provided the ideal terrain for Sailun’s Polar Drive event on ice, slippery and wet roads, loose fresh snow, as well as slush and crushed ice. The Ice Blazer Alpine Evo2 and Arctic 2 winter tyres, as well as the studded Ice Blazer Spike, demonstrated their winter capabilities.

With temperatures ranging from -20°C to +5°C, the event reflected the typical conditions in which winter tyres must perform in Nordic countries.
The Sailun Polar Drive was an excellent opportunity for us to familiarise sales partners and journalists with the strengths of our winter tyres and the Sailun philosophy. Given our university origin, it is our nature to never stop developing, never be satisfied, and always look for another 1% of improvement. The Ice Blazer Alpine Evo2 is Sailun’s high-performance winter tyre, offering control and reliable feedback on ice and snow, as well as strong braking performance on wet roads. Its wear-resistant rubber compound also maintains high elasticity, delivering a balance between mileage and fuel efficiency.
With the Ice Blazer Arctic 2, Sailun offers a studless winter tyre specifically developed for Nordic conditions and designed for use in significantly lower temperatures than those found in Central Europe. It utilises a newly developed rubber compound that remains flexible even in extremely low temperatures.
Test vehicles included the Audi A3, Audi A6 e-tron and Audi Q6 e-tron
Its tread pattern is optimised for grip on ice, while also delivering performance in relatively warmer temperatures and wet conditions. The Ice Blazer Arctic 2 bears the EU Ice Grip symbol, indicating suitability for extreme winter conditions, and is marked as EV-ready.
All three winter patterns benefit from an extended size range to cover the evolving European car parc, including increasingly larger rim dimensions.
