The Cosmo Gripit XT
US based Tire Group International@s Cosmo brand recently launched its all-new extreme tyre, the Gripit XT in Southern Peru’s Ica desert.
The Cosmo Gripit XT has been introduced in response to extensive demand in the all-terrain light-truck sector and has been specifically designed for elite performance, durability and a smooth driving experience. The tyre also presents a series of innovative features and benefits including shoulder scallops with protusions, and intrusions to enable additional grip in sand, mud and snow and all other challenging terrains.
Whilst utilising ‘Quiet Kat’ technology based on geometric isolation using angular grooves at different spacing effectively reduce noise levels. Plus, the shoulder depth is 7 mm compared to most other brands with 5mm.
There is also an Ultimate Tire Technology proprietary system that integrates bead reinforcement and structural enhancements for maximum durability and a compound consisting of directed super silica (DSS) and chip and cut resistant rubber to enhance wet traction, lower rolling resistance and extend tread life.
Finally, the tyre includes a reinforced construction with a 3-ply sidewall up to 12 plies of under tread reinforcement on most sizes and is available in 14 size options from 17 to 22 inches with a further 26 sizes scheduled to become available in the first half of 2026.
