Prometeon’s new Ro2 Proway range
Prometeon Tyre Group, a leading company in the commercial, agricultural and OTR tyre sectors, has begun introducing its new R02 PROWAY range, which has been specifically designed to deliver superior mileage performance and versatility for commercial vehicle operators across all applications.
Following its UK debut at Road Transport Expo last year, the R02 PROWAY, part of the new Prometeon-branded tyre lineup launched last Autumn in Istanbul, integrates advanced technologies that deliver up to a 10 per cent improvement in key performance indicators such as mileage, wet handling, and snow grip, compared with its predecessor range.
Steve Tift, Managing Director of Prometeon Tyre Group UK and Eire, states “The R02 PROWAY represents a significant step forward in commercial vehicle tyre technology with inhouse testing confirming it outperforms the previous generation of tyres in crucial areas such as wet braking and handling, while delivering the enhanced mileage that operators demand for optimising their total cost of ownership.”
The R02 PROWAY features a range of innovative technologies, including a new generation tread compound that reduces heat generation for improved fuel efficiency while maintaining outstanding wet grip performance. The range also incorporates RFID technology as standard, enabling simplified fleet management and tyre tracking capabilities.
Including both drive and steer axle variants, key benefits of the R02 PROWAY include:
- Enhanced mileage performance through optimised footprint design
- Superior wet handling and braking characteristics
- Full winter capability with 3PMSF certification
- Increased load capacity up to 158/150L for 315/70R22.5 & 315/80R22.5 sizes
- Embedded RFID technology for improved fleet management
- Advanced four-belt construction for enhanced durability
The R02 PROWAY also maintains excellent performance throughout its life cycle, with test results showing superior wet braking and handling characteristics.
The range is currently available in key sizes including 315/60R22.5, 315/70R22.5, 315/80R22.5, and 295/80R22.5 for regional and long-haul applications where versatility and durability are essential.
All tyres in the range feature Prometeon’s latest casing technology, ensuring excellent retreadability to help operators maximise their tyre investment.
