Triangle take ‘Gold’ in EcoVadis sustainability awards

Triangle Tyre has been awarded an EcoVadis Gold medal for its sustainability performance, scoring 81 points in the assessment which places the tyre manufacturer in the top 5 per cent of all companies assessed by EcoVadis, a globally recognized provider of corporate social responsibility ratings.
For Triangle tyres capturing this prestigious award represents valuable recognition of the company’s "Advanced" level of sustainability management and strong practices in areas like environment, labour, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
To achieve Gold-medal status in an elite category including over 150,000 rated companies across over 200 industries and 180 countries perfectly underlines Triangle’s Benchmark leadership as many global corporations use EcoVadis scores to evaluate suppliers, therefore providing a competitive edge in securing new business.
The EcoVadis methodology is built on international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the UN Global Compact which evaluates a company's sustainability management system across four key themes:
- Environment: Covering topics like energy consumption, waste, and carbon emissions,
- Labour & Human Rights: Evaluating working conditions, human rights, and diversity practices,
- Ethics: Assessing a company's anti-corruption and anti-competitive behaviour policies,
- Sustainable Procurement: Reviewing a company's practices for managing sustainability risks in its supply chain.
