Vipal attend partner Vaculug’s 75th anniversary celebrations

Vipal Rubber recently took part in the celebrations of Vaculug’s 75th anniversary, as one of the most traditional and important tire retreading companies in Europe. The company’s presence at the event, held in London, reinforces its commitment to continuing and strengthening, its long-standing partnerships on a global basis.

The event was held at Westminster Palace, in London, welcoming strategic partners, employees and special guests for a night that also featured a performance from the Oxford University Choir.  Vipal was represented by Frederico Schmidt, General Manager for Vipal in Europe, Gilson Dugno, International Business Manager; and Felipe Henzel, Commercial Director for the External Market and Motorcycles. 

For 20 years, the relationship between Vipal and Vaculug has revolved around a successful collaboration, based on trust, quality and shared innovation and geared towards the development of sustainable practices and solutions that deliver value and performance to customers. 

Vaculug is currently one of Vipal’s main clients in Europe in volume of consumption of rubber compounds and precured treads used in the retreading process.  Headquartered in Grantham, district of Lincolnshire, England, Vaculug is acknowledged as the largest independent tyre retreader in Europe. Founded in 1950, it has over 170 employees and operates in the segments of hot retreading, cold retreading and OTR (off-the-road).
