Introducing NTE Mechatronics: An Innovative Inspiration for OTR and Ag

NTE Holding recently announced the launch of NTE Mechatronics Srl, a new company dedicated to the development of advanced mechatronic machinery and systems for the tire industry, with a focus on the Off-The-Road (OTR) and agricultural sectors.

Based in Rovereto, Italy within the Trentino innovation ecosystem, NTE Mechatronics represents a strategic evolution of NTE Holding's industrial vision integrating process engineering, automation and intelligent mechatronics to offer next-generation production solutions to tire manufacturers around the world.

The initiative is based on the industrial heritage and technical skills developed over decades within the previous Marangoni Meccanica organization. Fabio Novelli, Chairman and CEO of NTE Holding explains, “The goal was not simply to acquire assets, but to relaunch and transform a historic industrial expertise into an innovation platform for the future.

Lucia Salmaso also participated in the inauguration event of the new company, as BKT is a customer and partner of excellence for both the group's parent company, NTE Process, and the newly established NTE Mechatronics.

NTE Mechatronics combines deep expertise in industrial automation, process technologies and mechatronics with the engineering capabilities of the wider NTE Group. The company works in close synergy with NTE Process, internationally recognized for its advanced upstream technologies in the rubber and tire industry, including conveyor, storage, dosing and mixing systems.

This integration allows the Group to offer a highly integrated industrial model that covers both process technologies and machinery systems, providing customized and competitive solutions to tire manufacturers globally.

The company also benefits from strategic collaborations with Trentino Sviluppo, the University of Trento in Italy and the innovative ProM plant, which allow it to accelerate research, reverse engineering, 3D printing of metals and the rapid industrialization of innovative technologies.

NTE Mechatronics is also rapidly expanding its engineering and organizational structure, strengthening its expertise in advanced mechatronic integration, AI-based process optimization, predictive monitoring and intelligent diagnostics, energy-efficient manufacturing technologies, and customized machinery solutions for next-generation tire production.

The company's strategic priorities for 2026 include bringing Marangoni Meccanica customers closer together, strengthening international business activities and developing next-generation technologies specifically designed for the OTR and agricultural tyre sectors. Europe and the United States represent the main reference markets for expansion.
