Linglong welcomes Sherif Degheidy to its MEA Team

Linglong Tire has announced the appointment of Sherif Degheidy as Director Specialty Tires for the MEA region. In this role, Sherif will be responsible for the strategy and sales of the Specialty Tires division in the Middle East and Africa and will report to Jeffrey Hughes, Director OTR EMEA.
As part of this newly created role, Sherif will work closely with the respective product and marketing teams with the aim of establishing Linglong as one of the leading specialty tyre providers in the market.
Sherif was previously at Goodyear, where he successfully led the Specialty Tires business in the Middle East and East and West Africa for the past twelve years, most recently as OTR Sales Manager. Prior to that, he worked for KAL Tire and managed tyre operations at a gold mine in Egypt. He therefore brings extensive experience across the industrial, commercial and customer segments.
Sherif said: “I am very much looking forward to my new role at Linglong and hope to use my many years of experience in the tyre industry to achieve ambitious goals together with my colleagues in the MEA region. Our most important task will be to optimise existing customer relationships and develop new business to further strengthen our company’s market position in the Middle East and Africa.”

He brings a wealth of experience in the Middle East and African markets, and his early work as a site manager at a gold mine in Egypt gives him a unique perspective on engaging customers, distributors and end users.
