Prinx Chengshan launches Its First Off-The-Road Giant Tire

Prinx Chengshan has rolled off its first 30.00R51 off-the-road giant tire, marking its entry into the high-end OTR mining segment.

Prinx Chengshan has successfully rolled off its first off-road giant tire 30.00R51 off the production line, as Liu Jinjun, Deputy Secretary of the Rongcheng Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, visited the green and intelligent off-road tire factory of Prinx Chengshan to witness this groundbreaking moment together with Che Hongzhi, Chairman of Chengshan Group, Che Baozhen, President, Shi Futao, Vice President, and Jiang Xizhou, Executive President of Prinx Chengshan Holdings Limited.

Liu Jinjun and Che Hongzhi jointly unveiled the company’s first off-road giant tire, which marks a crucial phased achievement in the construction of Prinx Chengshan’s green and intelligent off-road tire factory.

The newly manufactured giant tire (Model: 30.00R51), incorporating an outer diameter of nearly 3 m and a single-unit weight of 1.8 t, has been specifically engineered for extra-large dump trucks operating in open-pit mining areas. These unique trucks can carry loads of over 120 tonnes, with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 200 tonnes. The tire features a wide and deep lateral tread groove.

Giant OTR tire designed for heavy industrial use

The tire also delivers exceptional traction and grip to combat the complex and harsh working conditions of mining sites, ensuring precise, stable, and safe handling during heavy-load transportation. Plus, an innovative shoulder cooling groove, combined with the shoulder design, promotes effective heat dissipation, thereby mitigating core safety risks such as tire blowouts and delamination. This is an innovative design that safeguards the lives of mining personnel, effectively enhances cost efficiency in heavy-duty transport for open-pit mining areas, and contributes to the high-quality development of modern mining operations.

With the upsurge in infrastructure investment and the accelerated modernization of the mining industry, global market demand for high-end off-road tires continues to rise steadily.

Prinx Chengshan has adeptly guided its actions according to market trends and initiated the construction of its green and intelligent off-road tire factory in 2025. With a total investment of over CNY 1.1 billion and a floor area of more than 100,000 square meters, the project features a planned annual production capacity of 84,000 engineering tires and 10,000 giant tires.

Its products are widely applied to various scenarios such as mines, construction sites, ports, airports, agriculture, and industry. This strategic layout not only demonstrates Prinx Chengshan’s resolve to optimize its high-end product portfolio, but also will effectively drive the transformation and upgrading of China’s off-road tire industry toward high-end, green, intelligent, and clustered development, accelerating the domestic localization of high-end off-road tires.

During the construction phase, Prinx Chengshan has consistently upheld the core philosophy of “High-End Intelligence and Green Environmental Protection,” fully implemented the principles of independent innovation, smart manufacturing, green and circular development, and built modern workshops and supporting public utility facilities to stringent standards.

In addition, through the deployment of rooftop solar power generation systems and other initiatives, the project has effectively promoted energy conservation and carbon reduction at the factory, ensured green and energy-efficient development, demonstrated Prinx Chengshan’s firm commitment to sustainable development, and established itself as another benchmark practice for the Company in implementing the “Industry 4.0” concept.
